Walking the Tightrope

Sometimes, when no one is looking, I walk on the edge of curb, one foot in front of the other, pretending that it's a dangerous tightrope, just like I did when I was a little girl. I even dip one foot down the side as a special balancing trick.

I should do that more often.

Puts me in mind of a wee joke. An officer saw a drunk maneuvering carefully down a railway track artfully stepping on each railway tie. "What do you think you're doing?" the office asked.

The drunk looked at the officer with a blank stare. "I'm trying to climb these stairs but there are too many and the handrails are too low."

Somehow I think tightrope walking on the curb would be a lot more fun then climbing stairs so carry on me strauss, but do be careful. :D

I have lousy balance these days ... used to do that when I was young though. I say ... go for it! Do it as long and as often as you want!

Hi Ms. Roberta!
Thank you, for your advice. I will be careful. Cub walking without a net can be very dangerous, but it sooooo exciting. :)

Hi mama,
Thanks for the "go for ir!" support. It's not something I'm inclined to give up. I don't even mind these days when I have to put that wrong foot down now and then. :)

BTW, I'm glad that is still you!
