Facing Fear

Some fears I face head on with a vengeance. I am tall. I am a wonder. I am a dragon slayer on a quest. Most of these fears are in protection of others. Somehow it’s easier to take on the risk when I risk for someone else.

I have to think about what that means.

I'm no dragon slayer. I am a coward, but I'm going to be much braver now that you made me realize that "most of these fears are in protection of others". If fears exist on that kind of a spectrum, it is much easier to tackle them one at a time, knowing that each one I put down, gives an advantage to me in slaying the next. Thank you for giving me new courage.

Hi Roberta,
I'm glad you found your courage. I may be new found, but it was always yours. :)

On a purely esoteric or karmic level, I think it means you're learning to be the best human being you can possibly be. And in the end..that's what it's all about.

Hi Mary,
Gosh that is what I'm working on. I sure hope I'm getting better at it. I've putting a lot time into it. A whole life now that I think about it. :)

I've always known that I can face any fear on behalf of my children, even stepping in front of a car to save their lives, as they say. Ambiguity does not exist in that moment.

Facing fears, taking risks on behalf of myself, seem to take more effort. So many choices - do I deny the fear, face it, walk with it, or overcome it?

Oh Deb,
You describe that so well. Is it even a fear or am I just feeling something that I've talked myself into for the moment?
