I smiled to myself, thinking I was her once. How do I tell her that it’s not without taking something from her?
Sometimes the words come out the way they should.
“Glamour is only glamour from far away. Up close it looks like life with all its warts. Even movie stars have bad days.”
She was a smart one, that young lady. She stopped and gave a thought. Then I saw her eyes smiling widely. “Yes, and I suppose that it’s ok for it to be that way. We look at them and they look at us – just as the king wishes he could be a person. I guess we need to know which one we want. It’s decisions that count not wishes.”
She was only twenty-five. I was older by a lot. By the time the elevator stopped she had become quite glamorous to me.
Glamour is about belief.
If I believe my dream, my wishes will become decisions.

Liz,
I have not come to the point where I make choices for my Life. My Life still makes choices for me. But it's good to know that when I am ready, I can make any decision I want. I'll come back to this Blog when I'm ready, for a reminder that I can choose.

The glorious sunset is really a burning fireball being filtered through smog and haze. But we can believe in that beauty.
"believe in your dreams and your wishes will come true" the fairy tale version of your last sentence. This will be my thought for the day.
Thank you, dear Liz.
Hello, Sweet Katrina, Your choices are there waiting for you. Not to worry. They'll wait for you. Everything about life is really a 'want to' not a 'have to' We choose everything that we are, that we see.
Hi David,
If you see that sunset is any less real? If you believe in your dreams don't do things to make them happen? Go for them David. I believe in you. You're more than wish or a dream to me.
Papa just spoke to Kyra of this kind of belief. Have you been reading my story again? :-)
Did you enjoy the red and purple flowers I left for you?
Hello,
No I'll have to read what papa said to Kyra right now. And I'll have to find those flowers. Red and purple -- yummy!

This is a hard one for me, and I can't quite make the leap of your last line in my head. It will give me some fodder for today.
Hi Dawn,
Think that if I believe I will quit wishing and act.
Liz,
your post reminds me of an incident that i encountered. i was in the army then and was about to be discharged in a few weeks time, when my Officer Commanding called me up. He said, "whatever you do, don't THINK that you can do it, BELIEVE that you can achieve it. one day, when you are a director of a company, you will remember my words."
i have yet to be considered a successful person (let alone a director) but i still remember those words. when at times i am in doubt, those words do help. :)
thanks for an excellent post, Liz.
Hi Dsnake,
I needed your comment. You are a gift to me. Thank you also.
Even while I'm smashing doubt in the head, I hold tightly to my ladder because each rung is belief.

Hi Carolyn,
What a lovely statement. That should be in frame. It's so beautiful.
Thank you, Liz.
