Sometimes at 11:10p.m., when a day has gone wrong and been up-side down. I take a few minutes before I go to bed, just to write for myself. It's my way of letting myself and the cosmos know that even the telephone company and the computer can get the best of me. I always have a few words that are just my own saved up and cherished and set here, set down right here for us alone.
These words smile quietly with me under the old white oak tree on the riverbank across the backyard where I grew up.

It is always refreshing and renewing to sit quietly and write of something lovely that is in your spirit and soul. That doesn't happen me to every time I write ... but when it does I read it over and over again and get lost in the feeling it evokes and the places conjure up.

I feel badly for those that can't do that or find words others have written that will do it for them. Words have power to do many things ... and one is to soothe.

I hope your day tomorrow is better and that the coming weekend restores your spirit!

BTW ... I found your other blogs this week and left a message for you ... about Blogger! Did you know that was me?

Hi mana,
It's always refeshing and renewing to sit quietly in the morning and read something that YOU wrote. It helps me start my day the way a good conversation helps a friend get a new and vital perspective on life.

No, I don't think I caught you talking to me out of context. Now I'll have to go look for you. That will be fun!

Hey Liz, hope things are well with you. Apologies for being absent of late. I'm glad to see you are still sharing your personal and insightful thoughts through this blog. I know I can always come here and find something of value.

For one thing, the last entry "Good Fortune" made me realise that I still have some things around me that are real treasures and something to be happy about - a few people I can connect with at work -- enought to stop me from plunging into real depression over certain seemingly stubborn annoyances at work.

So, thanks for your writes and blessings to you. :)

Hi Liz,
Equal apologize cancel each other out. :) I've been working hard as I know you have too. I'm delighted to see you whenever you can come. I hope to have more time. Very soon to check in on your lovely poetry and your quest to write more.

There is a special soothing comforting ambience in words scripted by hand - when writing them and when reading them. If I am going through a batch of papers I am always most quickly drawn to those scribbled sheets rather than those with a type style. What the words don't say, the flourish does. As always, enjoyed these special thoughts. Hand scripted notes are so endangered, so precariously close to being extinct. Let's not let it happen.

Michael,
That's a ripple I'll keep in mind all weekend. Thank you! May the sun shine on your smile.

Ms. Roberta,
What a beautiful sentiment.

Yes, let's not let them die or even fade just a little bit. Let's write the on our hearts and the sky.
