Like Water Falling

When I was a little girl, I used to think of life as time passing, as days going by and it would seem like water falling. I like the feel of water falling. I like the sound of waterfalls. I like the look of them. They seem so primitive, so unencumbered, so real and untouched by people. They’re an actuality of nature. They need rainfall to exist.
Now I think of life as memories collecting, as days filling with happenings, and treasure moments when it is like water falling, easy, loud and unencumbered, primitive, so real and not hemmed in by people.
Once in a while, a lovely day gets to be an actuality of nature.
Those are the days I live for.
Cool, clean, crisp, cleansing, easy, like water falling.

Water cascading down, tumbling over rocks, finding crevices to turn into rivers. Crisp and bright and 'in your face' ... much like life on a good day filled with fun.

There are just not enough of them are there?

HI Mama
I guess that's why they're called good day's filled with fun and not called normal ordinary days. :) They are special, like good friends and good wine are.

Thanks E.
It looks like we were cross posting. That was fun!

I love the imagery of the waterfall. Those kinds of days are very special, and we all need them to balance out the white water rafting days with all the turbulance that we struggle to survive.

I found you today by following one of Mama Mouse's Favorite Blog lists. I figured as much as I enjoy her writing, I'd like what she liked, and I was right!!

I’d like to invite you to join our new, family friendly BLOG VILLAGE TopList. I think your blog would be a great addition.

You can find out more about it at Blog Village blog.

Hi Dirty Butter,
I like how you've expanded the analogy. We do have our storms to go with our waterfalls and our light rains and our rapids to run. I'll come by and see Blog Village. If you and Mama are there it must be good. Besides, it's one way I can avoid the work I don't want to do. :)
