It's years that I’ve been saying, Oh, it must be my magnetic personality! . . .
Some folks are almost instantly attracted to something about me − the way I think, my writing, my sense of the world. They seem to find me almost enchanting.
I always introduce them to everyone I know, and then folks who were attracted by this magnet are instantly drawn to each other.
It often happens that folks I introduce become lifelong friends. Off they go to find and do things together. Soon enough, I’m in their past. I think they figure that the magnet that attracted them has so many attractive things to do. It’s not so, but they don’t see it. It’s natural for folks to assume that a magnet has the power to open elevator doors, or to ring a bell to call folks near. It’s a nice thought. Would that it were really true.
Sometimes they come back to tell me of their adventures.
Maybe that’s why I stay home so much. I want to be here when they come to tell me stories of where they’ve been.

Liz you are real. That's the attraction. I would like to say I wish everyone was, but the fact that you stand out is a testament that genuine realness is much more rare than most of imagine so when we find it--in you--it just slaps us across the face and we see beauty and wonder as it should be.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, thanks for being you. :-)
AW Tree, Thank you for what you say. I so like having you around for tea and cookies. You are all of the things that you say about me.
You are a 'facilitator' and that is a great thing to be. Think of all the great people that are so good togtether ... think how they probably wouldn't be there if not for you!
I'm the one people come to when then need an ear to listen to them ... to empathize with them ... to hear them. When they are healed they go on their merry way and only come back when they need the ear again.
Its nice to be trusted ... its nice to be needed. Its also lonely to not share in daily goings on ... ones that cause others to smile.
We serve a purpose ... and you are VERY real ... you are deep and loving ... you bring people together. That is a wonderful gift!

Hi Mama Mouse,
You ARE good at listening. You heard exactly what I was saying, didn't you?
Thank you for listening to what I wasn't saying too.
I know that what I do helps. I miss folks when they're not around.
I've been missing you while I've been out magic carpet riding in the blogosphere and making friends. Truth told I'm a bit tired and feeling inclined to nest down for awhile. So much advice so many lessons learned and so much to do made me yearn to crawl into an armchair and listen to you. I have some reading that's bound to ring my bell to enjoy right here. Thank you for being the person that you are and for telling your stories in the wonderful way you do. Namaste Liz (I salute the divine light within both thee and me in that space, place and state where we are one). timethief
What lovely light you bring, timetheif, on a night when I too am so tired an in need of an arm chair myself.
I'm glad you are riding your magic carpet and finding so many lovely things. I'm glad that you find a safe haven here. Always here.
