Hint: It's a wordsmith's question.
I'll post the answer in the comments after 7pm (US CST).

Hi Scot,
I think you'll like the answer. I guarantee you won't forget it.

AND THE ANSWER IS

You would look in the mirror

to see what you saw

take the saw

saw the table in half

two halves make a whole

so you could climb through

the hole.

I first heard that on the Ray Rayner and Garfield Goose show in Chgo. circa early 1960s.

Now that's thinking "out of the box," pure and simple. It's always good to have something to challenge our sense of perspective. Love the solution. Think I will present it to the kids I work with when I return to work on Monday.

I had a feeling you would like it.

Oh clever! Like that one.

It's fun. Isn't it?
Definitely outside the box on more than one level.

After trying some kung-fu logic on that one, I decided, aaah heck, I'm just going to stare in the mirror at that strangely familiar person who was looking back at me :)

Aw Eric,
Just have fun with it.
Just have fun.

Liz

LOL. Now that I've seen the answer, I remember another puzzle of this nature. It had something to do with a person in the desert, some sand, witches and goodness knows what else. Where did you find that particular one? The desert one may be there too.

Hi Eric,
I just remembered this one from hearing it when I was a child.

I remember almost everything. It's a curse.

Liz

Liz:>I remember almost everything. It's a curse.

Tell me about it! I wanted to take that creativity test again for example, after getting some sleep. But even at 5am, when my creativity is low, my brain soaks up and remembers everything. I can still clearly see all the questions and answers in my head. If I took the test again, I'd be cheating! :)

Hi Eric,

Tell you subconscious to be quiet so that you can go back to sleep.

And I don't think that's cheating. If you remember it, it's yours to use.
