A qxqqllfb Word

If I might, could I have a qxqqllfb word with the person who chose type faces for the vwvllfyg blogspot word verification that I have to type every time I comment? I think that he or she should learn some things about visual discrimination.

Ms. or Mr. Verifier needs to know that ps and qs and ds and bs are the hardest letters for HUMANS to sort out. I thought the object was to screen machines.

Unless of course, the gyhccpqpq irritation is intended. Then I know this pqpbdffld system was designed by my eighth-grade teacher—he used trick questions to exact revenge.

Even then I don’t jgjlfrlyzsz understand one thing. If I’m signed in and on my own blog, why do I need to verify?

Will blogspot turn it off for me on my blog, if I promise not to spam myself?

Fine. If the evil typeface person won't see me. Would you leave this yuqbmnffyu comment please?

Watch your ps and qs and what the heck is this?

Very funny, especially as it can sometimes take me two attempts to get it right. Reminds me of a that TV show where they pull out the random letters to make words with, and of course every once in a while they get a unexcepted but much prayed for combination.

It's the l's, I's and i's that confuses me most of the time. Sometimes the words are all too close together. Blogger's system is too extreme. The curly fonts ones are the worst, I'll just refresh the page and get a new one.

"ficukgg"! Oh yeah? Right back at you, you random jeerckll system!

Happy gfajj Halloween to you too!

Lee,
Good on you if two' the tops. I've had it take me too many. :)

I've been thinking about writing this every time I respond to a comment. I always wonder. Do they know that I have to do this too?

Sometimes I'm rusing to get a comment out before someone leaves--that's when that last typeface shows up. I swear the machine's out to get me.

Hi Liz,

Yeah, those are, according to research the second most confusing, especially if you add the t to that.

It took me a while to figure out to refresh the page. I think I was worried about losing something. DUH.

I like your comment to the system--made me laugh.

Happy Halloween!

Yours was lcejpo.

Blogger really does make it nearly impossible at times. It just means that if you go through all this, then you must really want to comment. I wonder then, why all my comments seem so dfrgljussn?

Myblogsite does the word verification now. It is much more legible usually and they throw in symbols so if you really hated the post, typing #f@c! might just suit your mood. I will say that it eliminated the 30 or 40 spam comments I might get in a day.

One day I will crack Blogger's secret code. When I do will let you know. Until then, fsnjmit amd steady on.

Thanks Ned,
It's good to know you're on the case. I was thinking of you the whole time I wrote this post. :)

MAn! Do you know I have to do your Word Verifications multiple times some mornings! Is it a 'j' or an 'i'??? And the same for multiple other letters :) Never fails that I get some letter wrong at times...I swear I'm typing in what they say though!

Do you think they're possible doing some experiment - unknown to us - on a persons ability to see letters :) Sure seems like it.

I get tickled by the ones that are almost a word. (And annoyed by the ones that are so hard to decifer.)

I had one the other day that truly made me laugh. It was:
assmnn

LOL

Hi Sorry I missed you. I read last night something about them removing the harder to read (what they call in biz) CATCHAs. But I was still able to find that font I hate.

Do I think they could be experimenting on us? Yea--either that or they're finding out if we learned anything in first grade.

Either way, did you know you can change them by refreshing the screen?

You have to type something in the comment box first. That's how I got all of those words to take screen pix of. Wouldn't you know it took about 30 times to get the weird one to show?

Hello Marti, Welcome.

I've gotten that one! I've also gotten a couple of interesting ones that ended with tv.

The rest are all a nuisance cause by the spammers.

Still I don't see why if you have to log in you should have to do it on your own blog. I think they could have made the software not do that--after all you can't edit my template.

Enjoyed this post. That last set of letters looks like it might have been written by the Elves of Middle Earth, or is it Hebrew?
I once commented at barofsoap's blog and got the word "fylth"

Hi Indie,

What a nice guy you are to stop back again! Yeah I like it those little coincidences happen too.

Your word for today is qniavt.

You know, something I do over at someone elses site is to regularly give bogus definitions to the wacky verification *words* we are made to type. We call it the "secret word." It's done like this:

secret word: teqxaf - the way the word "Texas" sounds when uttered buy a two year old with a cold.

"ME" Liz Strauss said...

Hey Toadmaster,
That's one we haven't done head-on. We just use the chwvqpqfll words to replace other words we might us.

I've thought of making a dictionary, but maybe I should get you to do that. :)

uh-oh You're winning so far.

Hilarious. I have terrible problems figuring some of that stuff out and didn't want to put my readers through it, but, I got tired of ferreting out the evil spam and deleting it so gave over and turned it on.

"ME" Liz Strauss said...

Hello Easy,
Yeah, I think we all--readers and writers--have resigned ourselves to the surge of the spammers.

So we just grin and bear it and sometimes we even make a game of it. Glad I could make you laugh.

Yours is yqozk.

LOL! Some of them sure hard to decipher.

"ME" Liz Strauss said...

Hello Analee,
Welcome. Sure nice to meet you.
Yeah. Hard to decipher and way too time-consuming I say.

Thanks for stopping by

Yours iw zatyz.

I turned off that word verficatin thing once for a few days and received a spam comment that actually added to the post.

Hi Indie,
How do you have those links at hand every minute for eveyrthing?
You are amazing!

Liz:
Finally someone has taken the time to express, though amusingly, disatisfaction with the verification system. I practically need a damn magnifying glass to decifer what looks like some mysterious arcane code that only a select few have the knowledge to interpret correctly. Hopefully something will be done about this.
Scot
I should have looked before I typed. It took three tries before I typed in the right letters.

"ME" Liz Strauss said...

Yeah, Scot,
I've been thinking about writing this post for some time now. Google says that they have gotten rid of some of the stranger type faces. Whew wouldn't that be a reflief?

I have never used Blogger. Well, that's a lie; I have a dummy Blogger blog that acts as a pointer to the real Gone Away. But apart from that, I don't use it. And you guys must understand that part of the joy we get from blogging is watching the trials and tribulations of Blogger bloggers (if you see what I mean). It's hilarious! Never leave, all you Blogger bloggers; where would the rest of us get all our entertainment if you did? :D

Mine us nlodv. It's a Russian word meaning "Blogger stole my identity".

Who are you?
What have you done with my friend Gone?
