Only One Step

One step followed by another
One request answered, then another
One friend who shows up and another
One idea, one improvement, one movement
Things are changing for the better.
It’s one thing after another.
We’re doing it together.
It would have been faster.
If I hadn’t been afraid of that one step

Why does the first step always seem to be the hardest?

So profound, Liz. I needed to read that today.

Liz, there's a lesson here for the global world. You have described how you concentrate on taking small steps to make better that which is good. It seems to me that politicians with global influence only concentrate on big steps in a reverse direction. They focus on stopping bad stuff but in doing so have lost the ability to strategically plan ways to promote the growth of 'the good.'

Interested in politics? You should be in a position of influence. Things would certainly improve. :)

that's a saying by the Buddha :"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

if we had to do things a step at a time, so be it. no point to hurry and trip all over the place :)

"sigh". in my hectic workworld, sometimes i trip all over the place. :)

Hello, dear friend, I think the first step is the one that sets our direction. Maybe that's what makes it so hard.

Hi Tanda,
Thank you, I needed your smiling face. So I think we found a lovely trade. :)

Thank you, Roberta, for you faith in me. Unfortunately, I hardly that good at running my life. I think the world might be a bit much for me. Those politicos would dance circles round me. Don't you think? I hardly know their fancy footwork.

I do think you're right, though about their needing to walk slower and to take smaller steps at trying to get where thery are going. Maybe you're the one who should lead and I'll be your avid supporter. :)

Hi Dsnake,
Just about 15 minutes ago, I was thinking about all of the peopke who pick me up when I fall down, which I do so very much these days. I've got to learn to walk one step at a time. I'll try if you will. :)
