Raining Flowers

If I could have one day in a magical universe, one day to just do as I wish, I would ask to make a day when the world was feeling no pain.

Little kids would have no toothaches. Old folks would have no backaches. Parents would have no headaches. Lovers would have no heartaches. Old wounds wouldn’t chafe at people. Forgiveness would flow like water. Compassion would sparkle like stars. Wouldn’t that feel nice?

Imagine how much softer everyone’s face might look, if we all laid down our sorrows, if only for a day. Picture how lovely every pair of eyes would be looking back in our own. Hands would want to hold each other. Reaching for a hug wouldn’t be a wonder. Sharing a space would be so easy, easy would be easier than it already is.

The sky would be brighter, bluer, newer, because we would all feel newer—like we'd just been born, like nothing had harmed us yet. No harm, no foul, no pain, no sorrow.

Then . . .

I would make sure that it was raining flowers, at least once every hour. To remind us of how beautiful we all are.

I love the idea of flowers raining from the sky. Until then, perhaps, flowers can rain from our hearts. Beautiful Liz. Most excellent post. :-)

I thought you might like that idea, Tree. It is kind of fun isn't it.

I must admit that I like the idea of that place where it rains flower petals - a beautiful idea.

It really is a shame that the world seems to run mostly on anger and pain.

HI. It makes me smile that you like the idea of the world that rains flowers. A softer world would be more beautiful and so much easier for everyone, I think.

smile for you,

Such simple, bright thoughts are the stars which light my dreams as I fly through the dark. The flower petals whiz by me, but I can smell their honey sweetness all the same. Sweet dreams always, dear Liz, dear, dear Liz.

Wouldn't it be fun, Garnet . . . drinking wine in your back yard, and watching the sky raining flower down on us?

Oh man, I want IN on the veno and flower rain in Garnet's back yard.

When I was a little girl, okay truthfully even now, I always prayed/pray that God would/will bind evil and protect us in our thoughts dreams and lives, at least for a night.

I know it's not possible but it sure helps me sleep easy.

It would feel so nice, this post of yours.

Oh Lori.
Of course you're in for the vino and flowers in Garnet's backyard. I'm sure he'd love to have you. I'll bring the CSN and we'll sing along. We'll tell stories of childhood things we used to do.
It'll be so cool.

I hope that we have the power to change a lot in our world and dreaming can be the beginning of this.

Hi trendoffice,
Welcome to the blog,
There's line in a Howard Jones song that goes "We make the weather. We make it change." I think we have a lot of power to change the world, just by how we see it.
