Do you think Lipsynching is Dead?

I got up early this morning and found this post at Better Living: Thoughts from Mark Daniels. I think I watched the video laughing three or four times. Put on your headphones and listen. It's well worth it. Then do go over and leave Mark a thank you for letting us borrow it. The direct link to leave a quick comment is here. This is what Mark wrote about it.

So You Think Lip-Syncing Went Out When Jerry Lewis Teamed Up with Dean Martin?

Actually, it's alive and well in at least one dorm room.

The obvious work done on upper body choreography and learning the words to the song makes me wonder what sorts of grades these two young men will receive this term. (And, notice the contribution of the kid on the computer in the background.) This really is funny.
Thanks to Rhett Smith for the link.

great site! since you are in publishing, you probably have some advice on writing: if I had to read 1-2 books on writing, what would they be? Donald Miller last week told me that he would recommend On Writing Well by Zinsser, and The Writing Life by Annie Dillard, and Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. What do you think?

Hi Rhett,
Those are two great books. I've read them. There are so many. But I have to say you couldn't go wrong by starting with thos two.

Liz I have tried several times to view this clip, with no success. Imagine me, obsessive compulsive old Lori, clicking and re clicking, going back into Mark’s blog, back to yours, clicking and re…….

Darn it.

The still pictures at the side were a hoot, sounds like the video was too.

It looks like too many people have found out about it and crashed the site. It will still be there tomorrow.

[Picks himself off the ground after the laughter]. Thanks for that pointer, Liz!

PS: if the video is hosted on google, I doubt it can be crashed. Might be her browser lacking the right player (I think it uses Flash).

Hi Eric,
No I couldn't get it to open either.
It's listed on Technorati.

Hi Cheryl,
Yeah, I think I'm going to listen again this morning. They call themselves, or someone calls them, The Back Dorm Boys bcause they sing a Back Street Boys song. :)
