I'm not sure what my favorite word is...it might be "catywonkus" (not sure about the spelling of that one)...but I'm really fond of "persnickity."
Some other favorites are regional. I'm origionally from Texas, and the delicate use of the word "fixin'" is an art.
On another topic, I find that the most somber number, the one that is the most serious, and never likes to joke around, is the number 7. Unlike the whimsical number 8 with it's undiciplined loops creating happy little circles.
It's always seemed to me that 8 is always up for a party and a few drinks, while the number 7 can always be found in a corner discussing matters of deep philosophical importance.
Hi Toadmaster, I like your words. They are musical and your numbers well . . . they're just fabulous. No wonder they call that game Crazy 8s. But don't forget about Lucky 7. You might want to stay friends with him. smiles, Liz
Hello Tree, That's a beautiful word--on so many levels: peace and quiet, peace of mind, peace on Earth, peace and goodwill, peace. It's one of those words you can feel if you think about it when you say it. smiles, Liz
I had so little peace growing up, I now value it like a rich man hordes his gold. Too much death has taught me there is no promise we will have a tomorrow. We have today. Why not have peace today. What is worth not having peace? I ask again, what is worth not having peace? I have no answer to that question.
After peace comes love, joy and compassion.
Whenever I cycle, I wear an ID anklet, which is engraved with those four words. Peace, Joy, Love, Compassion.
Tree, I give you all of the peace that I can muster and I'm going out tonight in my mind to find more. So there will be some waiting for you in the morning. Smiles, Liz
Hi Jennifer, Happy Saturday! My first thought upon reading your words was, "But she's not a lawyer." My seond? "I'd love to see all three in one sentence." :)
The lawyer was sure a verdict would be impossible to come to, what with the talk of poltergeist and the wacky witness answering every question with the words "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious".
Hey, I just found you here. Your comment never made it through to me. I'm delighted to see you and your very long word that no one can say. smiles, Liz

Oh, I'm friends with both numbers, but I can't help laughing when they get together and form the number 87 or 78. 7 always looks so indignant! HA!
Yeah I can see what you are talking about. I've had that feeling about 6 and 5 actually.

You only asked for one and tonight, I need peace.
Thanks for the smiles Liz.

Liz, careful, cause I'm in mood to take all you got and ask for some more. :-)
No worries, Tree, giving is the one thing that I know I'm really good at. :)
Verdict, poltergeist or Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
I know it's more than one but those three for various reasons have been favorite words of mine :)
All are associated with some event (however minor) in my life.

(:) I never can refuse a challenge with words :))
Hi Jennifer,
I bet the reason you can't resist is that you never fail to come through with a winner!

Hippopotomonstrosesquipidelian. Because everyone needs a word they can't correctly pronounce first time round.
Hey,
I just found you here. Your comment never made it through to me. I'm delighted to see you and your very long word that no one can say.
