−me strauss Letting me be
One of my favorite flowers by far! Oh my .... the words, "let the sun shine bright on my Old Kentucky Home", are echoing in my thoughts! The sun chases away shadow demons and cleanses our souls!
ReplyDeleteLet the Sun!!
Hi Mama,
ReplyDeleteI like the sunflower in the sunshine a lot too. I just felt like it is the symbol of everything young and summertime. It seemed like it was time to celebrate summer some.
G'morning Liz
ReplyDeleteThe instant I read the title I started hearing the words to that song The Age of Aquarius. Now THAT brings back some very happy memories of growing up in San Francisco in the days of Flower Power and Haight-Ashbury.
But your words moved me into a different space, one of
the wonder & color & music of long summer days free of grown-up cares. No words needed. Let the sun.
Dawn,
ReplyDeleteYou heard exactly what I was writing about. Summer shineshine and being a kid outside playing agin.
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThough I'm no fan of the sun (Nordic blood), You've grabbed the season, the moment well Liz.
Can we have more of these?
Hi Robert,
ReplyDeleteThank you,
I've never had anyone ask that before. I'd be glad to do that for you. :) *blush*
