Liz, you describe the perfect way to meet a challenge: head-on and with eyes wide open. The exhilaration I feel in my lungs as I run makes it all worthwhile. And, of course, the view from the top. I wish you good luck with whatever you're running toward today. Happy trails!
I tend to bury my head in the sand at hints of trouble, but when confronted head on I forge on ahead and 'deal' with it. But were I faced with a 'real' hill .... I'd have to crawl up and roll down! LOL
To get over my fear I would envision a plate of chocolate chip cookies waiting for me at the top, slightly warm and gooey from the midday sun. And maybe some sun tea too!

Hi Dawn,
ReplyDeleteI'm running up there just to find out what it feels like be back up there. I've got to give it one more try to see what life is all about.
Just don't forget that climbing is half the fun!
ReplyDeleteYeah, so is the running!
ReplyDeleteHow your comment made me smile, chartreuse.
This sounds good!

It does, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteIt does.
ReplyDeleteGo! And remember: NEVER let the assholes get you down!

Thanks for your push up the hill, sunshine!

ReplyDeleteYeah, that one other thing hills are really good for! I wish that I could do that right now. :)

ReplyDeleteAnd they would be there too. Always.
ReplyDeleteOnce you get to the top, don't forget to roll back down! =)
ReplyDeleteRolling down is the fun part! Running down is run too!
