I can remember three distinct times. Three times it happened. Three times in my four college years. Three times, three places, three boyfriends.I made a phone call to my dad.
Then I went back to where I was.
Three times a boyfriend said,
“One day I hope to be the one who makes you smile that way.”
One boyfriend did.—me strauss Letting me be
:-D
ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteYour smile says it all.
Nice. Good economy of words.
ReplyDeleteThank you hungry.
ReplyDeleteThough I'm a feeling person myself. I agree the word economy is quite good on this piece. :)
This post caused me to face something rather disturbing about myself- I always smiled in a reserved fashion toward my various boyfriends. I dared not to let them know that they affected me. Or maybe I was disappointed and wanted to make sure they knew...I am glad that one of your college boyfriends made you "smile that way". What a sweet memory.
ReplyDeleteHi Betty,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you're up and around again. Sorry to disturb you, but then you know that.
I've had this post for a while. It's special to me. Today I needed something to smile about so here it is. Smiling.
Smiles,
Liz
I'm still waiting to have that smile :D...one of these days...
ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteMy advice is don't settle for anything less. Life is hard enough as it is.
